MAPS OF WESTHOUGHTON

The following maps of Westhoughton are of a range of scales and a variety of area covered. For instance one of the oldest of the centre of the town is a sketch of the main roads (1725) and some of the oldest are sections of maps of Lancashire which have been included to illustrate the oldest recorded localities ie Brinfap, Hulton Park and Houghton Chappel (1610 map).

Chapel Common Lane is now Market Street and Blake Dam lane is Bolton Road. Long lane is Church Street
