Lostock Aerospace

David Kaye narrates the story from his extensive library of historical information

A significant part in the history of aviation during the second world war and beyond was played by De Havilland at Lostock. How it came into being and details of the development are recounted here by David Kaye.

Improving Westhoughton Station

Westhoughton railway station opened in 1848. It became a part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. These days it is largely a commuter station on the Manchester/Bolton – Wigan line. This video is a contemporary look at how the station has been brightened up by the Friends of Westhoughton Station.
