Bolton Road, Westhoughton

In 1890 religious meetings in cottages began in the hamlet of White Horse and these proved to be so popular that a school for infants  was opened in 1893. A weekly Sunday school was held there

The actor Robert Shaw lived opposite the school and was pupil there in 1932

It is now a private nursery called ‘Lilliputs’
